Syaphrubensi-Mailung road section inaugurated

RASUWA: Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokhrel today inaugurated Syaphrubensi-Mailung road section in Rasuwa district. Inaugurating the 17-km road section at Mailung, Defence Minister Pokhrel thanked the Nepal Army for completing the road construction project within the government's deadline.

A 90-km road from Galchhi of Dhading district to Syaphurbensi in Rasuwa district now has been shortened to 65-km after the construction of Syaphrubensi-Mailung road section. Construction works of the Syaphrubensi-Mailung road section were started on April 14, 2015 and was constructed at the cost of around Rs 707 million. Likewise, the road section was handed over to the Department of Roads today itself.

On the occasion, Defence Minister Pokhrel briefed the people about the message sent by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, expressing gratitude to all rank and files of the NA for successfully completing the road construction.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari, Finance Minister Dr Yubraj Khatiwada, Vice-Chairperson of National Planning Commission Dr Pushpa Raj Kandel and Director General of Department of Roads Gopal Sigdel among others also were present on the occasion.
