LAMJUNG: Dirgha Raj Adhikari known as Vedikharke Saila, legendary singer of Thado Vaka has passed away on Monday. He was 84.

Adhikari passed away at his home in Sundarbazaar of Sundarbazaar Municipality-6 in Lamjung district at around 5:35 pm. It has been learned that Adhikari was suffering from asthma from long time.

Late Adhikari had recorded more than dozens of Thado Vaka songs in his successful career.

Thado Vaka songs are usually popular in Western region.

The final rites will be performed tomorrow as the body would be kept for local to offer their final respect to the legendary singer, according to family sources.

He is survived by a son and three daughters.
