CHITWAN: Three persons drowned while swimming in the Ladari River of Khairhani, Chitwan on Wednesday.  

According to Chitwan District Police Office, the deceased have been identified as Suniya Khatun (13) of Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Sahabad Alam (17) of Bhatatpur-10 and Ayusha Khatun (14) of Khairhani Municipality-8.

The locals had rescued them from a swirl, but they all breathed their last while being rushed to Bharatpur for treatment, police said.

Suniya, Sahabad and Ayusha were on a visit to their relative's house and had gone to swim in the local river, added police.
