Ilam: Three persons of a single family died in Sriantu VDC-6 of Ilam district on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Phurwa Tamang (60), Nitesh Magar (18) and Laman (40) of Sriantu VDC-6.

Police said that they were found unconscious in Laman's house this morning.

They breathed their last while receiving treatment at a primary health post in Suryadoya Municipality, police informed.

The District Police Office, Ilam said that the deceased were attending the rituals of Laman's wife's funeral on Friday night.

It is assumed that the three may have been suffocated to death as the room, where they lived, was powered with a generator.
