'Time has come to bid UML farewell from Madhes'

RAJBIRAJ: Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato has stated that the time has come to bid the CPN-UML a farewell from the Madhes region.

Claiming that the party's repeated obstruction in the House meetings has threatened the Madhes' rights, Mahato stated so while speaking at a press meet organised in Rajbiraj on Tuesday.

"The delineation of the provinces as it is in the Constitution works against the will of the Madhesi and indigenous people here. The UML has been a prime hindrance in our attempt to correct it through an amendment," Mahato added.

"It is only fair to kick the UML out from the Madhes, since it has been restricting the Madhesis in their own ground."

Meanwhile, Mahato asserted that holding local elections in the present context was not possible under any circumstance.

Mahato also accused the major three political parties--CPN Maoist Centre, Nepali Congress and CPN-UML-- of robbing Madhesis of their rights by imposing the Constitution on their own.
