Indian bus ferrying tourists torched in lake city

POKHARA: An Indian bus carrying tourists has been torched in Dihiko Patan of Lakeside in Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City-6 of Kaski district on Sunday night.

The Indian numbered bus ( UP 51 T 8311) that arrived in the lake city of Nepal from Gujarat of India was parked in the area.

According to SP Hari Bahadur Pal of District Police Office, Kaski, assistant of the driver and another person, who were sleeping in the bus, came out soon after the bus was put on fire to save themselves from injuries.

SP Pal further said the reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained and the investigation regarding the case is on.

No human casualties have occurred in the incident.

The fire was taken under control with the help of a fire brigade, informed police.
