Biratnagar: A couple were left dead after  a motorbike they were riding on collided with a bus at Kharji Chowk, Biratnagar-5 at Morang district on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Tularam Tharu and his wife Sita Kumari Chaudhary, permanent residents of Tetariya-3 in the district.

Police said that the mishap took place after a bus (Ko 1 Kha 4326) travelling towards Biratnagar from Itahari collided head-on with the motorbike (Ko 25 Pa 3939) coming from the opposite direction.

DSP Yogendra Singh Shrestha said, the seriously injured couple were rushed to Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital for treatment, where they breathed their last.
