MANGALBARE, ILAM: Police have arrested two persons in connection with torching the Ncell tower at Sajejung in Ilam Municipality-1 of the district.

The arrestees have been identified as Bishal Rai and Bimal Rai. Of the arrestees, Bishal is the district chairperson of an outfit named Kirat Mukti Morcha.

Properties including a generator, wires and other equipment were damaged in the incident that occurred at around 3:00 pm today, said police.

Further investigation is underway.
