KAWASOTI: At least two persons died and 21 others were injured in two separate road accidents in Nawalparasi district along the East-West Highway.

Area Police Office, Nawalpur, said that a passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 6135) heading to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj and a truck (Na 5 Kha 9100) coming from the opposite direction collided early this morning at Gaindakot-9, killing a bus passenger on the spot and injuring 21 others.

Identity of the deceased is not ascertained.

All the injured are rushed to Chitwan for treatment.

Likewise, an Indian national died after a vehicle fell off in the river, near Daunne of the district, last night.

Fifty-year-old Mohammad Adisan, driver of the vehicle with the Indian number plate HR 45 D 9997, died in the incident, police said.
