BARA: Two persons have been arrested in possession of undeclared jewellery from Parsauni Rural Municipality in Bara district today.

Bara District Police Office identified the suspects as Krishna Bahadur Sunwar and Ram Chandra Sunwar, both hailing from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City in Makawanpur district.

They were made public at the DPO this afternoon.

The duo, who were returning to Birgunj Metropolitan City from Kalaiya on a motorbike, were intercepted by Bara Police during routine security check near Parsauni Rural Municipality in the district.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ranjit Singh Rathore, the suspects along with the seized jewellery have been sent to Birjung Customs Office in Parsa district for further investigation and action.

Meanwhile, police said the seized jewellery is worth Rs 86,574.
