Two Indian national held with Yarsagumba in Darchula

DHANGADHI: Two Indian National were held in possession of Yasragumba in Khalanga, district headquarters of Darchula, on Monday.

District Police Chief, DSP Janak Bahadur Shahi said 19-year-old Amit Nagyal and 17-year-old Mannu Rathore were arrested during regular security check in Khalanga.

He further said, a joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force apprehended duo with 100 grams of Yarsagumba hidden inside their pocket.

The duo, who were heading to Khalanga of Darchula district in Nepal from Dharchula in India, according to DSP Shahi.

Meanwhile, the duo have been sent to the Apinampa Conservation Office for further investigation.

According to Conservation Officer Pemba Sherpa the duo would be charged against the National Park and Wild Life Reserve Act 1973.

Yarsagumba with scientific name Cordyceps Sinensis is found in the himalayan region of Nepal.
