Two involved in murder of 16-year-old remanded to custody, seven sent to rehab

District Court of Tanahun remanded two persons to custody. They were convicted of murder about a month ago.
Sujan Ale and Manoj Lamichhane of Byas-10, Deurali were remanded to custody by a single bench of district judge Krishna Prasad Poudel today.
On the night of January 16, a group of 10 boys had murdered Dinesh Thapa, 16, of Byas-2. He was attacked with khukuris and knives.
Another teenager Regan Thapa, 17, of Byas-10 was seriously injured in the attack carried out by the same group.
Of the10 persons, the court ruled that the other seven persons involved in the murder be remanded to custody in a juvenile rehabilitation home in Pokhara, Kaski, whereas Prem Ale, aged 13, was handed over to his guardians as per the court order.
According to Inspector Bijayaraj Pandit of District Police Office Kaski, the boys were produced before the court today in the murder case after completing necessary investigation.
