JAJARKOT: Two persons were killed while they were extracting stones for roofing in a stone quarry in Daha VDC of the district on Tuesday.

The mud mound had buried Kalo Damai (42) and his brother Nariwane (38), residents of Daha VDC-8.

The incident happened at around 6:30 pm yesterday when they were attempting extraction of roofing stones from the quarry. Police are on the incident site for further investigations, said Lok Bahadur Shahi, a local resident.

They had been to the stone mine early on Tuesday morning, but did not return home till dusk.

The family earlier had thought that they might have stayed with some other locals. Later, some porters had informed the family about the incident.
