Two more accused held for killing NC leader Poudel

POKHARA: Police have arrested two more people for their alleged involvement in murdering Nepali Congress leader Ramji Poudel.

The suspects have been identified as Biswas Gautam of Lekhnath municipality-12 and Prakash Gurung of Lekhnath-13. Gautam was arrested from Derhadun of India and Gurung from Pokhara, according to District Police Office Kaski.

Police are still looking for Rabin KC, another accused in the crime. Prior to this, police had already arrested NC Lekhnath town committee Chair Rajendra Mani Lamichhane and Tarun Dal member Raju Ranabhat. Investigation over the incident is still underway.

Meanwhile, police have also arrested five other youths for helping the accused to flee from the scene.

Those arrested will be made public through a press conference today, according to the Office. But the police did not make Rajendra Mani Lamichhane public.

A resident of Gagangaunda in Lekhnath municipality, NC leader Poudel was found murdered on August 13.
