Two Indian nationals held in Parsa hashish, marijuana haul

KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force arrested two Indian nationals in possession of nine kilogram of hashish and 17 kilogram of marijuana from Parsa district while they were trying to smuggle contraband from Nepal to India  on Monday evening.

The arrestees have been identified as Umashankar Chaudhari (55) and Hiralal Patel (60). Both of them told police that the are residents Narakatiagunj of neighbouring Indian state of Bihar.

A patrol team of the Armed Police Force, deployed from the border outpost at Bhikhampur, got hold of the suspects Kadaniya Tol of Jaganathpur-4 of Parsa, the APF said in a statement.

The suspects been handed over to Nepal Police along with the seized contraband for further investigation and action.
