BUTWAL: A delegation led by UK’s Ambassador to Nepal Richard Morris, on Friday, called on Province 5 Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel.

During the meeting held at the CM’s office in Butwal, the UK Ambassador said his government was interested in working together with the provincial governments in Nepal, as shared by Chief Minister after the meeting.

In response, the chief minister expressed his gratitude towards the goodwill expressed by the ambassador and stated that priority areas of the provincial government would be finalised soon.

The chief minister also apprised the British team of the constitutional provision requiring the provincial government to seek permission of the centre for foreign assistance.
