Oli dubs parties hairy wasps, broken tractor, ailing

NAWALPARASI: The main opposition CPN-UML organised a mass assembly in Kawasoti of Nawalparasi district on Saturday as a part of its nationwide Mechi-Mahakali campaign.

Leaders and cadres from mountainous Mustang to Triveni of Nawalparasi, bordering India, had taken part in today's function in the Province No. 4.

CPN-UML leaders including Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhala Nath Khanal, Bam Dev Gautam, Ishwar Pokhrel and Pradeep Gyawali addressed the function.

Oli, who is known for caustic and humorous remarks, dubbed the largest party Nepali Congress " broken tractor'" and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's CPN Maoist Centre "ailing person who can't get up again".

Without specifying, he claimed that some political parties and groups intend to spread conflict in Nepal, and said CPN-UML will fight all activities against democracy and nationalism.

"People will wipe out the traitor elements who point out anarchy in the country but keep mum over India's domineering tendency," he said.
