UML not lobbying for govt leadership, claims Oli

MORANG: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said the party has never lobbied for the government leadership.

Rather the Nepali Congress, the UCPN-Maoist and other some parties have been repeating that now it is the turn of UML to lead the government, he claimed.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Madan Bhandari Foundation here today, leader Oli said the party constructed as many as 27,256 temporary shelters for the people rendered homeless by the recent earthquake during the one-month-long campaign launched by the party following the disaster.

He said the reconstruction campaign was focused in 27 constituencies in the disaster-hit districts.
