MANGALBARE, ILLAM: An unidentified group has set off a bomb at the Chulachuli Rural Municipality Office of Ilam district on Saturday night.

According to Executive Officer Chabi Khatiwada, the explosion from a pressure cooker bomb at the assembly hall has caused damages to the upper floor of the under construction hall.

The local residents are terrified after the bomb explosion at the government office which shattered eight windows and destroyed the whole aluminum frames.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the incident is underway, informed District Police Office, Ilam.
