KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Bhim Rawal on Monday said that Nepal had no clue of such harsh measures such as the ‘blockade’ just because it promulgated the new constitution.

DPM Rawal said this while receiving US Ambassador to Nepal Alaina Teplitz at his office in Singha Durbar.

According to a Defence Ministry official, Rawal stated that the blockade was unjustifiable and needed to be scrapped immediately.

Ambassador Teplitz, on her part, said the US government was aware of the humanitarian crisis Nepal is currently facing and assured support to overcome this situation.
