Visually impaired getnew house

Rajbiraj, July 19

Jigri Pande Foundation handed over a house to three visually-impaired persons at Prabahapatti Tole of Dakeswori Municipality, amid a function in Saptari today.

Each of the beneficiaries was given one room of the three-room house.

The beneficiaries include Shiv Sankar Mandal, Shambhu Mandal and Laxman Mandal. All of them have been blind since birth. The foundation had built the house with a toilet at a cost of Rs 3.1 million.

Chief District Officer of Saptari Krishna Bahadur Katwal and comedian Sitaram Kattel handed the key of the house to the recipients.

At the programme, the foundation’s Chairman Kumar Kattel Gigri said he came to know that the three visually-impaired persons were facing hardship and decided to build them a house.

Kumar informed that the foundation had collected Rs 1.8 million through various programmes. Social worker Ramesh Prasad Sah had donated Rs 7 lakh and the Youth Nepal, Saptari had also made some financial contribution to construct the house.
