ILAM:  A voter breathed his last while returning home after casting vote in Ilam district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Chetnath Acharya of Rong Rural Municipality in Ilam.

He died while being treated at B&B Hospital at Birtamod in Jhapa district.

The incident took place when Acharya fell unconscious and collapsed while returning home after voting at Kolbung polling station in Rong, said Ganesh Acharya, a local.
