NUWAKOT: A 30-year-old woman was found dead at a hotel in Suryachaur of Shivapuri Rural Municipality-6 in Nuwakot district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Bishnumaya Magar of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality-2 in Kaski district.

According to Nuwakot District Police Office (DPO), Magar and her boyfriend Raj Lawat (31) of Tokha Municipality-6 in Kathmandu had stayed at 'Laliguransh Local Khaja Ghar', a restaurant with lodge.

The DPO Chief Basanta Kunwar said Lawat called the police when his girlfriend did not get up after in the morning. Lawat was quoted as saying to police that Maya had gone to bed after having dinner in the evening.

Meanwhile, police have taken Lawat and the hotel's proprietor Badri Gurung under control for further investigation.
