RANJHA: A 47-year-old person from Bankegaun of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City in Banke district has died of coronavirus this morning.

With this latest fatality, COVID-19 casualty in the district has reached 13.

The man died in course of treatment at Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital in Nepalgunj, informed Naresh Shrestha, Corona Resource Person, at District Health Office, Banke.

The deceased was a chronic patient of pneumonia and diabetes. He was admitted to the hospital on September 14 and tested positive for the flu-like infection on September 16.

Thereafter, he was transferred to the isolation facility of the same hospital.

Preparation was underway to conduct the last rites as per the health guidelines.
