KATHMANDU: A person died after he fell down from a running tractor in Bastipur Chok of Siraha district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as local Nitu Kumar Kapar (19) from Malaniya Pidari-2 of the district.

Kapar breathed his last during treatment at the Phul Kumari Mahato Memorial Hospital, Karjanha.

He was hit by the tractor (Sa 1 Ta 1816) at around 10:30 pm yesterday.

The Mirchaiya-based Area Police Office has impounded the vehicle, but is on search of the driver who fled the scene after the incident.
