One evening I was scrolling through my facebook wall and I bumped into this status from Anita Sharma who is an award winning author and a Cancer patient: I immediately commented, “You can start a crowd funding campaign and collect funds for the publication of your book.”

Within minutes she messaged me asking how she could do that. She even urged to meet and discuss this with me. Despite her poor health conditions she was ready to come to meet me at my place and the next day she was at my home.

I found out that she is suffering from ovarian cancer since almost seven years now.

Sharma started writing early in her school days. However, she started writing her first book in 2010 when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

The book, “Jivan ek Sangharsha anek” (One life, many struggles) got published in 2012 for which she received good response from the readers.

She received Ramraja Pant Memorial Award for her book.
