There is a saying that everyday is the valentine day for a true lover so, i don't believe the valentine day is only day to express one's love.this day is becoming fashion to youngster of nowadays. especially in the semi literate societies like our society the copying has flourish like a red rose within the youngster from the western culture. in my opinion valentine day is the day to share love it has not specified that in this day love must be share with the girlfriend or boyfriend but love is a pure emotion which can be share with everybody. special person is not necessary to celebrate valentine day. it is a sharing or spending a time with nearer or dearer one's. its not compulsory to have boyfriend or girlfriend. showing the true love by giving gift is no necessary if a person love him/her a lot in that case gift is nothing the youngster must know that love is the very expensive emotional gift to the loved ones not the materialistic heart shaped pillow.

Globalization is greatly affecting our country. The celebration of Valentine’s Day is seen as one of its impact. I think celebrating this day is being in unison with the world trend of expressing one’s love to one’s loved and dear ones, celebrating love all over the world. This does not mean that this is the only day to express one’s love. Rather it is a reminder to those whose love has been forgotten or lost, that they need someone or should seek for someone who cares for them and/or they should care for. For those who already have their loved ones, a special day to make the special one feel how special he/she is.

Saint Valentine's Day, commonly shortened to Valentine's Day is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. The day is named after one or more early Christian martyr named Valentine and it is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards and thanks to a concentrated marketing effort, Valentine's Day is also celebrated in some Asian countries these days. However in my view, if somebody really does love someone than everyday is a day to show him/her love. Why wait for the one day, the day that comes just once in a year? True love and pure feelings.... when they come they come every time and everywhere, not just on the 14th of February and so for me, the valentines day is as normal and as special as every other day whatever the popularity it has gained on my society and my friends and any sort of the so- famous ritual of sending proposal on the valentines day would be one sent by somebody who hasn't got the guts to express his/her love casually, a total loser!

I don't regard that celebrating a single day for particular matter is a good practice .I'm not in the favour of a single day valentine's day celebration as I feel each day can be thought as a valentine for the loved one and for a loving heart.I have the similar concept as other lovely days which is full of amusement .

According to western culture, Valentine day is a special day to express a love. Due to the modern world, the teenager used to follow the western culture. To celebrate this day, they expense lot of money and used to buy the gift for their beloved. They believe that this day is only a special day to express their love to them. From my point of view, I believe that there is not only any certain time to express our love to our concern people. What I believe that every time and every moment is special for me to show my love and care for our beloved one. I often buy gift to my husband when he gets angry with me. I have learn from him. Usually he also buys a gift for me when I angry with him. Exchanging gift can bring freshness and revive each other love. For this I won't wait a valentine day. However it doesn't meant that it is bad to celebrate valentine day and exchange gift to our beloved one. Everything has it's limitation. We shouldn't forget our culture while following the western culture.

I think there is nothing bad to celebrate Valentine Day (14th Feb) and to sky rocket it cause it may value lot for some. But it depends upon individual as how much preference and high they give and how serious they are about the one they are gifting. Gifting, making love and expressing it is nothing bad but some people / youngsters just forget their boundaries and celebrating it as show offs and fashions.

it is fascinating to see how obsessed youngsters are in nepal about vday. The advertising and commercial product industry brought in Valentines Day in a major way to the country.the emergence of a “class of neo-rich” people in nepal slowly started bringing in a completely different culture altogether, which included flashy stuff like “fancy dinners, dance clubs” and “expensive card shops.”Valentine's Day is one of the most romantic days in a year. So it is natural that each one of us wish to celebrate this day uniquely. But the question arises as to how to celebrate this wonderful day in a special way. Your Valentine's Day must be remarkable and should leave an unforgettable impression in the mind of your beloved.last not least, enjoy vday with u'r close sweetheart

Question

In the last few years, the popularity of Valentine’s Day (February 14) has skyrocketed in Nepal, especially among youngsters, who spend a lot on buying gifts for their special one and treating them to nice things. Many loves this day saying it gives them a chance to show how much they love the other person, but many others argue it is popular because it is highly commercialised, and anyway why should V-Day be the only day to express one’s love? So, what is your take on this day meant for love? What is its significance for you?
