People are more or less fed up of non-veg stuff hence they need a change. Due to health reasons people are turning vegetarian hence it is now becoming a fashion to become vegetarian. Therefore it cannot be termed as cruelty to animal if you are meat eaters. Go back to pre-historic age when human being were still Nomads {Junglee}. Mere fact of human being possessing "Canine" teeth proves that they survived on other animals. It provides protein which is so essential for them to survive.

It doesn't make sense to be vegetarian just for fashion. It depends upon your choice whether you really want to be or not. Though leading a kinder and healthier way of life I won't choose being vegetarian just to be fashion oriented rather I would choose to lead a sound life. Cruelty to animal would be minimized to some extent to those few lucky animals who are choosed not to be eaten by emerging vegetarians.

After the hottest celebrities of bollywood viz Vidya Balan, Kareena Kapoor, John Abraham switching to vegan diet. It has become common practice among youth to drag on same path. Their natural love and sympathy for animals is common reason we hear for attempt. Yet in growing Westernisation and powerful lobbies meat eating is status symbol for urban class. To have concern for animals and not getting them slaughterd is a good idea...I can think to be vegan but what is the use of canines the nature has given to me my tempting taste buds argues? The demand of climatic condition at several chilled places is non vegetarian diet. If the dietician can replace it with the product of same nutritive value it will be healthier for environment. By stopping eating meat our stomach will definitely not become graveyard but what about the torture the animals has to go through to give legitimate and forceful milks, to give wool to give skin and the other poultry products we have made our necessity, my conscience still argues. The crux of the problem doesn't lie in complete banning the non veg diet...it may lead to imbalance in ecosystem by increasing numbers of hens and other species flocking here and there. Vegan ism should be ones personal choice rather than grabbing decision from screened peoples choice is not a creative response. Have pet animals and you will understand what should be your major concern the love of breed or the inhumane greed. BY NASAR AHAMAD

I agree with the reason that veganism is a way to lead healthier and peaceful life; since the true nature of human soul is positivism. Physiologically, human intestine in comparison with carnivorous animals is very short; as non-veg food needs rigorous digestive enzymes and time. Thus, we can say that human body is by nature a vegetarian. I have experienced practically; the effects in digestive system and behavior after taking non-veg food. It had always had a negative impact on my health. Thus, I believe that one should experience practically first for the physiological and psychological effect of taking non-veg food rather than being fashionable. In conclusion, true veganism will surely lighten the mass dependence on animals. Chandan Pandit

Veganism has become trendy and also said to be healthier(and Kinder) way of life. You are absolutely right by saying that, Nobody can prove it otherwise. I think its been a process that human behaviour is slowly changing from meat eater to vegetarian or vegan. Specially due to Internet the information has flooded our society and people have access to the information faster than ever. Plus they can find like minded people and have enriching discussion about life and any other subject. This interaction has helped changing people's attitude towards meat eating culture. The most important think in the world is health. If there is no health nothing is possible. By going Vegan (plant based diet) our body goes to the state where it can heal itself, hence we don't get sick as we would be being meat eater. By going Vegan we show respect for other living being. The Earth is a home to all the creatures living here. We are a team. Imagine playing football where nobody coordinates and everybody wants to score a goal for individual glory, its not much fun to watch and this team will always lose to the team that plays as a team and each team member respects other and fulifils its duty without any expectation of personal glorification...but winning the match as a team. Hence this life on earth is a football game, earth is the stadium, all living creature are the team-mates with different responsibility. Smartest player are human being, hence we have more responsibility.....we have to show repect to other team-mates(animal) and try to win the game of life where there is fun and laughter, NO BLOOD. I am a vegetarian and wanna be vegan ( I don't drink Milk, eat cheese, butter and animal products), I have not been able to stop eating cake every now and then that contains butter...but sooner i will stop that too. The art of being vegan is not only not eating stuffs....but getting the required balance diet by plant based food. it is very important to have balance diet... rice, wheat- bread nuts, walnuts, cashew, dried grapes, dates other dried fruits fruits vegetables lentils, legumes and cereals tofu (soya products) water Smart people have realized that its not for tongue we eat...its for having energy and healthy so that we can do our work, engange in our hobbies and travel around the world. However the choice is yours...you want to be an average guy sitting infornt of your tv eating butter, cheese, meat...with fat belly and don't give a rat ass about other living creature and morther earth. Or you wanna be a conscious human being that cares about other living beings, mother earth and wanna be healthy doing sports, having many hobbies, being healthy, working and travelling around the world living life in fullest... 'Me and vegetarian?' is what most of the people think who have become somewhat addicted to flesh (meat) i.e.other's life. Today we also hear most of the people turning out to be vegetarian. We never know what is in one's mind whether he is trying to show himself fashionable or whether it is his moral values that has encouraged him to be so. Yesterday one of my brothers came from India in his holiday and mentioned that he had become vegetarian and he reasoned it by saying that ''it is due to meat that we suffer from alot of diseases.'' In every act of of our there should lie our benefit. We are neither being fair to our body or to the animals by eating meat. I turn out vegetarian just to be fashionable or not doesn't matter. What really matters is whether I am vegetarian or not. There is no doubt in the fact that ''vegetarianism alleviates cruelty to animals. Our vegetarianism stops demand of meat which finally stops it's supply. I often wonder there are many things for us to eat yet why do we eat other's life to fulfill our need. What if there was another creature which would take care of us in our initial phase, would lock human in a room, would chop us into pieces when we were young enough and would sell our meat in the market to meet up their need. Let's think about it again. For the sake of nature let's try to stop demanding for meat. We should try to love nature more than we love ourselves. Let's take a step towards it. Let's be vegetarian.

Its just a choice that we make. It depends on what you want to do and want to lead your life. Being a veganism or not is totally your pick. You cannot judge a person if one's a non vegetarian or not. I have had all sorts of foods but I have never liked non- vegetarian items. I have also met people who cannot stay without eating meat. They love it and its their selection. Its said that they have more choices of eating both veg and non-veg. But to think about it,no alternative stays with them since the lovers restrict themselves to non- vegetarian food. So, by the end its the same. When you go and buy the meat then I am sure each one of has a compassionate nature and we feel really bad when we see the butchering done. But, the feeling fades away with time and when you see the delicious food item in front of you. There are so many nutrients and protein which is provided by non vegetarian items. So eat what you prefer , but just remember to eat HEALTHY!!
