KATHMANDU: CPN-UML senior leader KP Sharma Oli has claimed that President Ram Baran Yadav can remove Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai from the post.
Speaking with journalists at the Reporters Club here in the capital on Sunday, Oli said that President Yadav has sent a first letter and made the government a caretaker government.
He further went on to say that he can send another letter again and oust Bhattarai from Baluwatar and from his post.
Saying that the Prime Minister is just a caretaker and the President was the only elected political institution, he stated that only the President can pave the way out from the present political and constitutional crisis.
Oli accused UCPN-Maoist of hatching conspiracy to seize state power and asserted that they will not succeed in their plot.
Claiming that the decision of President Ram Baran Yadav to reject the two government-forwarded ordinances related to the elections to the constituent assembly was obvious; Oli added that there is no need of any ordinances for the unviable election of November 22.
Oli accused the prime minister for the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly (CA) and further said that CA is not possible in the present scenario.
He stated that there is no alternative to a parliamentary election.
