KATHMANDU: A woman died after a passenger bus hit her at Pharping on the outskirts of Kathmandu on Wednesday morning.
The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Rashmi K.C. of Dallu, Shesh Narayan VDC.
The bus with registration number Ba 1 Kha 5259 had knocked her down at Bansbari of Pharping-7 at around 11 am today.
She was rushed to the Balkhu-based Star Hospital, where she breathed her last during the course of treatment, police said.
Likewise, Sudheer Gautam (30), who was a marketing officer at the Nepali vernacular Himalaya Times, was killed after a truck hit him in front of the Stupa in Chabahil on Tuesday evening. He was on foot when the incident occured at around 8 pm. He hailed from Butwal of Rupandehi.
A critically injured Gautam was rushed to the Om Hospital in the locality, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said they are looking into the cases.
