BHAKTAPUR: Nepal Worker and Peasants Party (NWPP) Chairman Narayanman Bijukchhe has said that the President should oust the government if the latter attempted to rule the nation through ordinances.
Receiving a memorandum submitted by the Reporters' Club at his residence at Kamal Vinayak in Bhakpuatur on Thursday, Bijukchhe said the country should not be run through ordinances.
He said the present political crisis would end if President Dr Ram Baran Yadav took over executive power by ousting Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai.
Saying the country would plunge into a crisis if the President continues to remain a mute spectator even when the government is ruling the country only through the ordinances; Bijukchhe suggested that the President should take immediately steps in consultation with the opposition parties.
He also said opposition parties Nepali Congress and CPN-UML should force the Prime Minister to resign by encircling the latter at Baluwatar, the official residence of the Head of the government.
