MYAGDI: CPN-Maoist Secretary Netra Bikram Chand today accused Unified CPN-Maoist Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Vice-chairperson and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai for diverting from the proposal and issues of the decade-long people's war.

"They have made our revolutionary protest meaningless," he said. Addressing the press meet organised by the Revolutionary Journalist Association, Chand blamed Dahal and Bhattarai of trying to handover the control of the International Airport to India, switching back to parliamentary system and irregularities in the party.

Focusing on the bilateral relationship with neighbouring countries, Chand said that his party was ready to work with the neighbouring countries on the basis of equality. "But we would never accept interference," he said.

He clarified that they were compelled to form a new party as Dahal and Bhattarai failed to establish democratic republic as people's republic. "If Unified Maoist accepts our party's thoughts and leadership then the party unification could take place at any time," he added.

According to him, the present political problem should be solved through a round table conference. He said that there were many ways of struggles which can be adopted if government failed to address the problems and queries of people. "We might even take up arms if such situation arises, but not as of now.”

Saying that the next war would be with the anti-patriotic, the CPN-Maoist secretary said their war was the final war to establish people's democracy. "Dahal should take responsibility for the financial irregularities in the cantonments," Chand further said.

"The cantonment commanders should not be blamed for the irregularities," he said adding that there has not been economic transparency in the party since four years. Not only millions but billions of funds have been misused in the party, he claimed.

Blaming all three big parties for betraying people, Chand said that Constituent Assembly should not be reinstated and election was impossible until the debatable issues of CA were resolved first.
