Far-west committee formed

DHANGADHI: With rumours rife about the ongoing agitation for the undivided Far-west operating sans any leadership for the past six days, a committee to steer the agitation was formed in Dhagadhi today.

A 75-member Intact Far-west Unity Society Civil Agitation Deployment Committee under the coordination of Nepal Tarun Dal central member Gopal Dauba was formed in Dhagadhi, with the All Nepal National Free Students Union Kailali chairperson Hemanta Regmi as its vice-coordinator.

Also, five sub-committees have been formed entrusting them with responsibilities under the committee. Amo-ng the sub-committees, a Press sub-committee is under the coordination of Hari Regmi with Keshav Mishra and Lekhraj Joshi as its me-mbers; a five-member Fina-ncial Committee under the coordination of Dev Bahad-ur Sethi; a four-member Mi-ke Management Committee led by Keshav Joshi and ten-member Rally Management Committee by Roshan Singh.

While the voice for the Far-west getting louder by the day, the Tharu community has pitched for the inclusion of the Kailali and Kanchanpur districts in a separate Tharuwan state.
