GORKHA: The government has donated over one kilogram gold for the renovation of the Manakamana temple, in Gorkha. According to the Manakamana Area Development Committee chairperson Dinesh Joshi Rs 5.847 million (value of 1,208 grams gold) has been deposited in the committee’s name at the New Road-based Rastriya Banijya Bank in Kathmandu. The committee, during a meeting with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Friday, had sought the government’s help for the renovation of the temple.
