NUWAKOT: Minister for Energy, Post Bahadur Bogati accused Nepali Congress and CPN-UML of making efforts to revive the 1990 constitution as they are deviating from the major contents of federalism as proposed by the Maoist party.

At a programme organised at Basunchet of the district to mark the 51st anniversary of Sita Secondary School on Wednesday, Minister Bogati said the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML are contriving to bypass Maoists and write constitution that suits their interests.

With the debate on federalism unconcluded, the peace process and the constitution-writing have not made any headway despite the country already steered into the republic.

Also a secretary of the Maoist party, Minister Bogati said the country will plunge into a political quagmire if the federal state is not determined on ethnic line.
