SSP Chand new chief of Kathmandu Police

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police Headquarters today deputed 16 newly-promoted SSPs to various parts of the country and reshuffled the responsibilities of 13 others.

SSP Jaya Bahadur Chand is the new Kathmandu Police chief. He was previously in Metropolitan Traffic Police Division. He replaces SSP Rajendra Shrestha, who has been transferred to Central Regional Police Training Centre, Bharatpur.

SSP Ramesh Kharel has been deputed to the UN section of Police headquarters from District Police Office, Parsa. SSP Rajendraman Shrestha is the new Lalitpur Police chief. SSP Rabiraj Shrestha has been sent to Airport Security from Metropolitan Police Commissioner’s Office where SSP Bhog Bahadur Thapa replaced him. SSP Ganesh KC was transferred to Eastern Regional Police Training Centre, Biratnagar from headquarters. Other SSPs, whose responsibilities were reshuffled, are Ramesh Kumar Pandey, Shyam Bahadur Khadka, Bijayalal Kayastha, Suresh Kumar KC, Kamal Singh Bam, Sudeep Acharya, Ramesh Kumar Bhattarai, Lava Bista, Gyanodraj Baidhya, Ghanashyam Bhatta, Yadavraj Khanal, Subodh Ghimire, Sarbendra Khanal, Milan Basnet, Pushparaj Regmi, Yogeshwor Romkhami Magar, Uttam Kumar Karki, Suvash Chandra Chaudhary, Uttam Bahadur Singh, Ganesh Bahadur Gurung, Chhabilal Joshi and Kishna Prasad Guragain.
