KATHMANDU: Biwas Baniya(26) of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-29 Lainchaur, Niran Baniya(29) of Chundevi-1 and Biggyan Thapa(35) of Naradevi were arrested with a fake pistol. They had assaulted the employees of Thamel based Beer Dance Bar and threatened them with the fake pistol on Tuesday mid-night.
One arrested for force
Bhaktapur: Police arrested Juman Singh Lama (48) of Bethan Ramechhap for forcibly making physical relation with a 20 year girl. Lama who has been acting as shaman had forced the girl for the inappropriate physical relation while she visited Lama’s room at Sipadol last night seeking the solution to her problems related with witchcrafts. The relatives of the girl had reported the police regarding the incident.
Illegal agents arrested
KATHMANDU: Police Arrested Rudra Bamjan (41)of Sarlahi Bhaktapur-3 and Rajendra Kumar Shrestha(44) of Gyaneshower on the charge of acting as illegal agents to send the women for foreign employment. They had gathered 4 women including Bindu Rai of Dhankuta Tekunala assuring them for sending in the foreign country for the employment. Police seized 7 passports and a machine to test pregnancy. Investigation is underway according to police.
Properties stolen
LALITPUR: Cash and gold jewelries of around 40 tolas worth rupees 2.5 Lakh rupees were stolen from the room of Jagannath Mahat from Talchikhel Lalitpur on Tuesday. Burglars had broken in Mahat room on the broad day light as there were none in the house. Similarly, the cash and gold jewelries worth rupees 2.74 lakh were stolen from the house of Santa Lamichhane at Kathmandu Metropolitan City -14 Sunargaun . The buglers had entered the house breaking the window at the third floor on Tuesday night.
One killed self
KATHMANDU: Krishna Bahadur Sunar(60) has been found dead hanging in his own house at Lapsifedi VDC-2. His body was found dangling from the ceiling at the attic of his house today morning. Police is undertaking the further investigation over the incident
Prez congrats Chavez
KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Wednesday congratulated President of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Hugo Rafael Chavez Frias on the occasion of National Day of Venezuela. In a message sent on Wednesday, Dr Yadav has extended best wishes for the Bolivarian President’s good health and happiness as well as for the progress and prosperity of the people of Venezuela. In a similar message, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai also congratulated President Chavez and expressed the confidence that the friendly relations existing between the two countries would grow further.
