The UCPN-M party
flags were seen fluttering on the rooftops of those vehicles used to carry the cadres today, while hundreds of common passengers waiting for hours in
the hope of taking them to their destination had a hard time to reach their destinations and others kept on waiting the vehicles before finally returning home depressed.
“I had my friend’s wedding at Birgunj today, but due to lack of vehicles I had to go on a bike,” lamented Sushma Rijal of Hetauda. Similarly, like her many others faced nuisance while heading to their destinations as a very limited number of public vehicles had plied today.
Vehicles carrying the Maoist cadres were also seen carrying the passengers flouting the traffic rules. Though the buses were crowded even on its roof traffic police had to be just mute spectators. No accident were however reported today, said traffic police sources.
