UN condemns bombing

KATHMANDU: United Nations Nepal office today condemned yesterday’s blast in Janakpur that killed four innocent people and left 30 wounded.
“The United Nations Country Team in Nepal strongly condemns the deadly attack on civilians at a peaceful gathering in Janakpur, Dhanusha,” UN Nepal office said in a statement today.
UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Robert Piper, said the UN Country Team was deeply saddened by the attack. The UN also urged the authorities to take all necessary steps to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident.
