Agility hands over sports kits to NOC

Lalitpur, July 27

Agility Health and Wellness Cooperation today handed over the sports kits to Nepal Olympic Committee for the 18th Asian Games squad.

Agility had signed the sponsorship agreement with NOC in April last year to provide sports kits for the Asiad team. Chairman of the Chinese company, Agility Health and Wellness Cooperation, Alfred Chan handed over the 400 sets of sports kits to NOC President Jeevan Ram Shrestha amidst a programme today. The NOC will now distribute the kits to the athletes and officials participating in the Asian Games.

Each set of sportswear included tracksuit, short, round neck t-shirt, polo t-shirt, sports shoes, socks, cap and sport bag. According to Shrestha, the sponsorship deal was worth around eight million rupees. Shrestha, who is also the Member of Parliament, thanked the Chinese company for its generous support. “We had reached a deal last year and I hope our association with Agility will be beneficial for both parties in the days to come,” he added.

Agility Chairman Chan thanked the NOC for providing them with the opportunity to help Nepali athletes. “This is just the beginning and we would like to continue with our association with NOC and Nepal,” he added.

Nepal is sending 185 athletes from 29 sports in the Asiad slated for August 18 to September 2 in Indonesia.
