ANFA decides to send Three Star in AFC Cup

The All Nepal Football Association today decided to send Ruslan Three Star Club in the AFC Club Championship.

The Executive Committee meeting of the ANFA, chaired by President Narendra Shresrtha, decided to correspond with the Asian Football Confederation for the inclusion of Three Star in the tournament.

The tournament is participated in by league champions and the ANFA has not been able to organise the ‘A’ Division League since 2015. ANFA meeting decided to write to the Asian governing body to consider Three Star for the tournament as the Lalitpur-based club had won the Martyrs Memorial ‘A’ Division League three years ago.

The ANFA also decided to hold its elective general assembly on January 25 next year after conducting elections in the 45 District FAs from November 11 to December 11. The meeting formed Election Committee under the chairmanship of advocate Suman KC. Laxman Thapa is the deputy chairman, while Raju Bhai Manadhar is the member with Bijay Basnet and Sagar KC being the alternative members.

The executive committee meeting also took the decision of forming an Election Appeal Committee under the chairmanship of advocate Moti Ram Gautam. Bal Krishna Shrestha and Surya Narayan Adhikari are the members, while Prakash Rawal and Ganga Sagar are alternative members.
