ANFA names team for friendles

All Nepal Football Association today announced the Nepal women’s national team for the two friendly matches against Malaysia slated for May 22 and May 24 at the Stadium Likas in Kota Kinabalu.
Head coach Kumar Thapa made one change in the squad that participated in the SAFF Women’s Championship held in India from December 26 to January 4. Thapa brought in Nepal APF Club’s Sajana Rana in place of Tribhuvan Army Club’s Dipa Adhikari in the 20-member squad for the friendly matches.
The team comprises three goalkeepers in Namita Kumari Dali, Anjila Tumbapo Subba and Anjana Rana Magar, while Gita Rana, Punam Jargha Magar, Hira Kumari Bhujel, Anchali Waiwa, Manmaya Limbu and Kabita Dhimal are the defenders. Similarly, the squad consists of five midfielders — Sapana Lama, Anita Basnet, Renuka Nagarkote, Dipa Rai, Manjali Kumari Yonjan, while Sabitra Bhandari, Krishna Khatri, Sharmila Thapa, Saru Limbu, Nirmala BK and Sajana Rana are the strikers.
