Bayern's Thiago, Vidal to miss Werder game, Coman fit

BERLIN: Bayern Munich midfielders Thiago Alcantara and Arturo Vidal will miss the Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen on Saturday but should be fit to return from injuries next week, coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Friday.

Thiago has recovered from a thigh muscle problem and has started light training this week while Chile international Vidal is nursing a rib injury.

"Vidal is not available just like Thiago. But next week they will train with us and for the team against Schalke both will be ready," Ancelotti told reporters.

Winger Kingsley Coman is available to face Werder.

"Kingsley is fit and I would like to give him some minutes tomorrow. He cannot start but he is a good option for us because he is back fit," Ancelotti added.

Bayern, who are also without injured central defender Jerome Boateng, are three points clear at the top of the table. They have won their last 12 Bundesliga matches against Werder, the last five without conceding a goal.

RB Leipzig, in second place on 39, host third-placed and unbeaten Hoffenheim.
