Pokhara: Kamal Bhandari, Dharam Bahadur Lamichhane and Anil Tulachan won the titles of the 15th Machhapuchchhre Bank Pokhara Open Veterans Tennis Tournament here today.

Top ranked Bhandari defended the men’s above-35 singles title beating second ranked Shree Ram Magar 6-4, 6-3 in final. Bhandari had won the title in the last edition. Bhandari took home Rs 50,000 and Magar got Rs 20,000.

In the above-45 singles final, Lamichhane defeated Bikash Gurung 6-3, 1-6, 10-5, while Tulachan bagged the above-55 singles title with a 6-1, 6-0 win against Prithvi Thakali in the final match. Top two players in above-45 and above-55 got Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.

A total of 125 players competed in the tournament organised by Kaski District Lawn Tennis Association. Machhapuchchhre Bank’s Promoter Kiran KC handed over the prizes to the winners.
