PHIDIM: Birta United of Jhapa advanced to the final of the first Panchthar Gold Cup Football Tournament here on Thursday.

In the day’s semi-final, Birta United defeated Red Horse Ilam 2-1. Bishal Rai and Yogesh Gurung scored a goal each for Birta United, while Manish Thapa scored the consolation goal for Red Horse. Birta United will face Nepal APF Club of Eastern Region in Saturday’s final. APF had defeated DFC Morang in first semis yesterday.

The winners and runners-up will get Rs 150,000 and Rs 100,000 respectively.
