Pradhan, Subedi to stand in SEA Games

KATHMANDU: Cricket umpires Buddhi Bahadur Pradhan and Durga Nath Subedi are set to officiate in the 29th South East Asian Games slated for August 17-29 in Malaysia.

Members of the International Cricket Council Development Panel of Cricket Umpires, Pradhan and Subedi were appointed as International Technical Official and will officiate the men’s 50-over, men’s T20 and women’s T20 matches to be held at the Kinrara Oval.

Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar are competing in the event. This is the first occasion that Nepali umpires were named for the SEA Games in the capacity of ITOs, the highest ranked anointment among the technical officials.

Pradhan and Subedi left for Malaysia on Tuesday.
