SIMARA: CMG Club Sankata advanced to the final of the Ruslan eighth Simara Gold Cup here on Wednesday.

Sankata defeated defending champions Bijay Youth Club 2-1 in the semi-final match. Anil Gurung and Raj Paudel scored a goal each for Sankata after Bimal Rana Magar had put Bijay Youth ahead. Rana Magar opened the scoring in the first minute of the match.

Sankata’s Gurung levelled the scores in the 27th minute and Paudel netted the match winning goal in the 89th minute. Bishwo Adhikari of Sankata was named the man-of-the-match and won Rs 5,000.
