HETAUDA: National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista on Friday laid the foundation stone for the covered hall at the Central Sports Academy here in Gauritar.

The 150X60ft covered hall to be constructed at the cost of Rs 10 million will serve as the training venue for martial arts, informed Makawanpur District Sports Development Committee President Madhav Timalsina.

“We are constructing this covered hall for three national teams of martial arts who will stay at the hostel ahead of next year’s South Asian Games,” said Bista. “We have also proposed a Sports University at the Academy and we are hopeful of getting the approval from the government soon,” he added. — HNS
