KATHMANDU: The pair of Dipesh Dhami and Shova Gauchan won the mixed doubles title of the Yonex Sunrise Pakistan International Badminton Series in Islamabad on Sunday.

In all-Nepal final match, Dhami and Gauchan saw off defending champions Ratnajit Tamang and Nangshal Tamang 21-13, 21-15. The Tamang siblings had won gold medal, first ever by Nepali shuttlers in international event, in the previous edition of the tournament.

Dhami and Gauchan had advanced to the final beating Pakistani duo of Waqas Ahmed and Saima Waqas, while Tamang pair outplayed Nepali pair of Bishnu Katwal and Sunayana Mukhiya.
