Double delight for Far-west

Both the teams of Far-west advanced to the quarter-finals of the third Far-west Pashupati Cup Football Tournament here at Dhangadhi Stadium today.

Far-west ‘A’ recorded a 4-0 win against Nepal Police Club of Province No 7 riding on a brace from Binod KC as well as a goal each from Jeevan Chaudhary and Ram Singh Rana.

Chaudhary opened the scoring in the 53rd minute and KC doubled the tally two minutes later. KC scored his second and team’s third goal in 65th minute before Rana sealed the victory with a goal in the 71st minute.

In another match, Far-west ‘B’ thrashed Pashupati Streaming 5-0 and advanced to the last eight. Rajeev Chaudhary completed a hat-trick, while Rupesh Chaudhary and Hikmat Khatri added one each.

Rajeev Chaudhary scored in the 44th , 47th and 65th minutes to complete his hat-trick. Earlier Khatri put the team ahead in the fourth minute before Rupesh Chaudhary doubled the tally in 21st minute.

On Sunday, Sports School Football Academy will take on Hasanpur Youth Club, while Mangal Youth Club will play against New Buddha Youth Club. The tournament is organised by Farwest Pashupati Youth Club under the sponsorship of Galaxy Public School.
